Respect, clarity, and calm you feel, and so does the room.
Working harder, managing stakeholders, building visibility may still not be enough to be seen and heard as a leader.
Under pressure, it’s harder to choose your response. Your natural stress response will tighten your posture, narrow your thinking, resulting in overexplaining, overthinking, and holding back or shrinking (Porges, 2011). You know you can show up more confidently.
Catherine Peloquin helps leaders address the stress reactions that get in the way of communicating and performing under pressure. Today’s speed and visibility require effectiveness in the moment. This program trains for stability in peak events, so you find the right words, influence with authority, and feel confident even when stakeholder tensions, bigger rooms, and uncomfortable questions add stress.

Executive coaching covers strategy, leadership development, and career direction. Executive presence coaching covers how a leader is seen, heard, and trusted in the room. Catherine’s background in corporate communications and leadership development means this program brings both: you learn how to embody your leadership values, show up differently, but also develop as an enterprise leader. That combination is uncommon among executive presence coaches.
Freezing is a stress response, not a confidence problem. Your nervous system reads the room as high-stakes and protects you, narrowing thinking and language before you can choose (Porges, 2011). The work builds the capacity to stay clear and responsive under pressure, so the room sees the leader you already are.
Under stress, the body reacts to threat by narrowing attention and cognition (LeDoux, 1996). This is physiology, not a preparation or skills problem. The stress response fires before thought. Training that response is what makes preparation hold when the pressure is real.
Most clients apply outcomes from the first session. Private 1-1s run 6 to 12 weeks. Deeper transformation with daily integration support runs over 6 months. Presence that sustains under pressure is trained, not switched on; it requires practice between sessions.
The difference: executive presence is for a sustained pattern across every room, over time and often for senior leaders. Communicate Under Pressure is for everyday communications moments, relationship tensions and recurring triggers and challenges.
