Who is this for?

New to Zug. Love nature. Want more time outside. Want to meet people in a relaxing environment.

What the Club is built on.

The busier I am, the more I need time in nature to rebalance. Three hours gives me a relaxation that lasts for days.

I started this group for myself, to share my training and bring together people who appreciate nature too.

Inspired by forest bathing, Shinrin-Yoku and nature therapy.

Why this works

Time in nature measurably shifts physiology: lower cortisol and blood pressure, more rest-and-recover (parasympathetic) activity, less rumination (Park et al., 2010; Li, 2010; Bratman et al., 2015).

Natural environments also restore depleted attention and thinking capacity (Kaplan & Kaplan, 1989).

Around 120 minutes a week in nature is associated with better self-reported health and wellbeing (White et al., 2019). We spend around 90% of our time indoors (Klepeis et al., 2001).

FAQ

Questions.

How can I meet new people in Zug?

Nature Reset Club is a regular, real-world community for people who want to meet others through shared experiences in nature. Events run monthly in the Zug area, in English.

Are there outdoor or hiking clubs in Zug?

Yes. Nature Reset is different: very little walking, guided time in nature and space for connection and restoration.

Is there a community for nature-minded people new to Zug?

Nature Reset was created to help people reconnect with nature, community and a regular ritual to slow down, relax and restore.

What can I do in nature in Zug to support my health?

Nature Reset offers guided nature experiences designed around sensory awareness, restoration and regular time outdoors.

Can nature support mental wellbeing?

Nature is increasingly studied in relation to wellbeing, stress, mood, attention and social connection. In one large study, around 120 minutes a week spent in nature was associated with better self-reported health and wellbeing (White et al., 2019). The World Health Organization’s European office lists mental wellbeing and social cohesion among the potential benefits of nature-based approaches (WHO Europe, 2025).

Does time in nature help your nervous system settle?

Research on forest environments reports lower cortisol and blood pressure, more parasympathetic (rest-and-recover) activity and less rumination (Park et al., 2010; Li, 2010; Bratman et al., 2015). A meta-analysis of cortisol studies found the same direction of effect while noting the evidence base is still limited (Antonelli et al., 2019). At a Nature Reset you are guided through simple sensory activities. This is a nature-based wellbeing and community experience, not therapy.

What is forest bathing?

Forest bathing, or Shinrin-Yoku, is a way of experiencing nature through the senses and the atmosphere of the forest rather than walking for exercise or distance.

Is this mindfulness?

The approach is different from a mindfulness class. Forest bathing uses the senses, attention and the natural environment.

Is Nature Reset therapy?

No. It is a nature-based wellbeing and community experience.
