Overthinking is a stress response. Nervous system regulation for anxiety, emotional reactivity, burnout, and chronic stress.
Nervous system dysregulation is the body’s stress response stuck in an automatic pattern. The stress response fires before thought: the nervous system learned what felt like a threat, and the reactions happen before you can choose a response (LeDoux, 1996). It is a trainable capacity, not a fixed trait (Porges, 2011).
This is a stress system stuck in survival mode, running an old pattern.
Most stress management teaches you to manage symptoms. This is different. Using body-based tools, we track what your autonomic nervous system is actually doing, and build the capacity for more space and more choice in how you respond. Nervous system regulation is the internal layer of the Performance Under Pressure approach.
This is not about trying harder. We address the underlying pattern.

“It was just so easy to be me. Like a muscle that’s been dormant, starting to feel or be another part of me. That’s new: to have that permission to just be ordinary. I don’t have to perform.”PeterAdult Education and Training, Basel
The capacity to move through stress and high demand without getting stuck in the response. Not about staying calm, but about recovering faster and having more choice in how you respond. It is a trainable capacity, not a fixed trait. (Porges, 2011)
Overreacting happens before conscious thought: the nervous system learned what felt like a threat, and the reaction happens before choice. We practice creating space before the reaction fires, building a new baseline over time. (LeDoux, 1996; van der Kolk, 2014; Levine, 1997)
