Where My Passion for Embodiment Began

Embodiment is my passion. Where did this come from? Since I was 11.

Preventing juvenile arthritis flare-ups meant listening to my body.

Every morning I scanned: would my knees swell up?

Later, I realized my body told me when I was on the wrong path.

When inflammation returned.

Now, I feel and see these signals in others.

Their body speaks before words come out.

I’ve been reading bodies for over a decade.

It’s more than being highly sensitive — it’s a trained attunement I’ve developed through experience, self-awareness, and trauma-informed coaching.

How I Developed Embodied Leadership

My journey into embodied leadership coaching began on stage:

🎭 Theater. 🎤 Singing. 🎬 Improv. Public speaking. Pageants.

I learned how to perform under pressure — skills I didn’t know would one day help others do the same.

Then came my TV career.

Live reporting from storms, derailments, and house explosions — where communication under pressure was a daily reality.

Next chapter: pharma crisis comms and leadership development.

Prepping executives for global events and high-stakes media interviews.

Facilitating teams through uncertainty.

Helping people speak clearly under tension, regulate their stress, and show up with presence — even when the stakes are high.

Being “self as instrument” as an OD consultant meant I had to lead from my own grounded center — and now I teach others to build that same capacity under pressure.

My Proudest Moment?

My family watching me sing the U.S. national anthem to thousands.

🎶 Center court. Spotlight.

I had learned how to regulate my nervous system and shine. 🌟

Looking back, I see the red thread.

The red thread in it all:

My body.

I learned not just to perform — but to be present.

Grounded. Centered.

Here, in the moment.

When I wasn’t present, I said or did the wrong things.

But when I was, my body became my leadership resource.

Over time, I learned to:

  • Trust it

  • Speak from it

  • Lead through it

Now, I help others do the same through:

✔️ Nervous system regulation

✔️ Embodied leadership coaching

✔️ Speaking calmly under tension

✔️ Building capacity to perform under pressure

✔️ Using your voice with confidence, presence, and clarity

✔️ Trauma-informed coaching for professionals

✔️ Authentic, body-based communication

Clients Say:

“I’ve never been in my body like this.”

“This body stuff is amazing — more people should be talking about it.”

(More on the benefits in another post.)

Here’s What I’ve Learned:

Once you’re more in you, others feel it too.

You stop performing. You start showing up.

You speak like you know you can.

You feel like yourself again.

You become the leader your body already knows you are. 🧭

That’s the work I do.

It’s taken me years to get here through my own journey.

It was a game-changer for me — and maybe for you too.

If you’re curious about:

  • Embodied leadership

  • Authentic communication coaching

  • Or how to work with your nervous system, not against it

Follow me for more on what this looks like in real life, in leadership, and in the body. 🌀

I’m here to help you feel seen, heard, and respected — starting with how you show up in your body, especially under pressure.
